A teacher is called builder of the nation. The profession of teaching needs men and women with qualities of head and heart. There are many teachers who have done great service to humanity in general and to their students in particular. A good teacher is an asset to the nation. I consider myself fortunate that I have a teacher whom I can call an ideal teacher. He is my English teacher. His name is Mr. Sharma. He teaches us English in a very interesting manner. He takes special care to see that all students understand what he teaches. When he finds that some students have not understood, he explains the lesson again and again, until they understand. Mr. Sharma is very popular with the students. He is a learned man and an excellent teacher. He is kind and sympathetic by nature. He never loses his temper. He is always willing to help his students even outside school hours. He always teaches us to be honest and hardworking. His lessons are very interesting, as he knows how to make a dry subject interesting and easy. He helps us to develop character and personality. He is punctual and regular in his duties. He is a man of high principles. He always dresses simply and neatly. He does not believe in show and pomp. He sets an example for others by his own conduct and behaviour.
